Latest news and information
Big news in Australia is the launch on 3G by Vodafone. Their Vodafone Live portal will feature lots of music and video clips including material from South Park and Jamiroquai.
The launch of Sony PSP Media Manager is great news for portable media production and distribution as it is now much easier for users to convert their digital images and videos across to the PSP.
This is hot on the heels of the release of the video i-pod from Apple. I checked out one of these nifty little devices and was very impressed by the quality and clarity of the image. I think there is a huge opportunity for video podcasting. DV Gear Talk video podcast was playing on the demo and I later subscribed to it from my laptop. The production values are excellent and the video i-pod was an ideal place to watch these short grabs of newsy, information based pieces. I can’t wait to see some really creative ways that people will use this format.
For those in Melbourne the next big event for interactive media practitioners is the XMediaLab taking place at the end of November. I will be interviewing Brendan Harkin, Director of the event, in the next couple of days so stay tuned.

Good afternoon.
I found your website whilst searching for I-pod information. Perhaps the blog owner or the readers of this blog can help me with a problem I have. Mc Creative Zen Micro (4gb) keeps freezing up. I only bought it last week but it always freezes on boot. Any suggestions before I consider taking it back?
Many thanks,
Wayne.
